Curated pieces that tell a story
Maison Madeleine was founded on the premise that furniture has the ability to tell a story. Each piece is steeped in rich history, drawing inspiration from iconic French design with subtle nods to the art deco period. Our pieces are not only inspired by history, but are made to be centerpieces throughout history.
ABOUT
Inspiration behind the Maison Madeleine collection can be attributed to founder, Leah Cumming’s, upbringing. Spending her formative years in Paris exploring flea markets and early adulthood traveling and working throughout Asia, Leah developed an early interest in global design.
After working in the marketing industry in her early twenties, Leah’s passion for design inspired her to pursue interior architecture at the Savannah College of Art and Design. Leah’s professional work in interior design began when she moved to Los Angeles to work for Nickey Kehoe––a transformative experience that led to roles with other prominent brands and design firms.
Feeling there was a void in the market for bespoke, French-inspired contemporary furniture, Leah founded Maison Madeleine, crafting a collection that is both traditional and timeless, suited for classic and contemporary settings. When she is not designing, Leah enjoys hosting her friends and relaxing at her California home with her dog, Pogo.
